3 e-Portfolio types

According to the aim of e-portfolio there are 4 main types (by H. Barret):

1. working - consists of digital artifacts grouped in teh folders, web-based system or any portable disc. It is a collection of records to comply a purposeful e-portfolio with;
2. presentational - it aims at presenting the author and his/her skills in a defined context, scope and for selected audience;
3. assessment - presentation of skills is driven by external criteria set by a dedicated body, organisation or a person (school, institution);
   
4. development - it supports the author in his/her learning and professional development in lifelong perspective. Reflection is the most important element as it completes the artifacts;
   

These four "ideal types" are inteconnected in a continuum that starts from the simplest gahtering of the artifacts to the personal, indivudual contextualisation of work.
